WHAT IS THE COORDINATED PLAN FOR HUMAN SERVICES TRANSPORTATION?

The Greater Buffalo Niagara Regional Transportation Council (GBNRTC) is updating the Coordinated Plan for Human Services Transportation for Erie and Niagara Counties. The Coordinated Human Services Transportation Plan (CHSTP) seeks to improve economic and social opportunity in the region by improving access and transportation to key services and destinations for persons with disabilities, older adults/seniors, and individuals with lower incomes in the Erie and Niagara Counties region. The plan provides a framework for the development of projects that will address the transportation needs of the target population by ensuring that the two-county area and its human service agencies coordinate transportation resources offered through the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Enhance Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities (Section 5310) program.
